This post is not about gun safety. It's less than that.

I sleep with a gun under my pillow. Not a real gun of course, but a cap gun without a regulation tip. In the dark, it will look suspiciously like a real gun. If anyone comes in to steal my laptop (and my life), I can just pull the gun out and 'fire' a warning shot. Hopefully, the blast will be loud enough for the burglar to abandon the attempt and flee so I can get out of bed to push him down the stairs, then ensure that he will never have children again.
